Its supposed to be a modern take on Adam and Eve but at the end of the world instead of the begining. It was something i came up with last year, the banishing from eden as a metaphore for climate change: the world is garden of eden and after climate change we will be kicked out.
So the rubble is like the ruins of mankind.
